I love the outdoors and experiencing new love, friendships, and journeys in life. Cooking, camping, fishing, writing poetry/ music, and painting are a way i express myself. I just recently quit my job after living on the central coast of California for a few years to travel with Tyson when he is not working. I enjoy having this type of freedom and being able to now pursue different goals and areas of my life- Katie

Interests

Concerts!!! Live music, playing live music etc, random road trips, any outdoor activity (hiking, rock climbing, tennis, running, b-ball, frisbee golf, anything fun. Craft beer- Tyson

I find absolute freedom being outside and being in social environments, meeting new people, and haveing genuine conversations. We love playing music and writing music. Painting has been something I've always enjoyed doing but I go through months of painting like crazy then not doing it at all.... I should be better about that. writing anything from haikus to songs or letters has always been a thing I express as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love all and any type of music. Tyson has more of the instrumental ear then I do, but we can rock out to pretty much anything. I feel that music is such an expression of the soul and a beautiful thing our lives get to experience. Tyson loves listening to podcasts while he travels, every time he gets home he is full of new facts/ stories to tell me, I've always been able to see how much he loves learning new things and sharing them with anyone he can, he's so beautiful in that way. With movies, we love a cozy days to snuggle up and be a little lazy and watch movies every now and again. Tyson loves old western movies, and I love old musicals ( bye bye birdie anyone?) We also love slapstick comedy and really anything from simple indie movies, silent films, foreign movies, and thrillers. Tyson enjoys a good scary movie every now and again. - Katie

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For Tyson's work he travels most of California. For the first few weeks we started dating I was lucky enough to go on a few adventures with him. Let me tell you it was the best way to get to find out that Tyson would soon become my best friend. We talked about everything in those car rides. We got to travel most all of California and into Mexico... Hoping to soon get to go into the Oregon border with him. After high school I got a wonderful opportunity to travel the world and see many different ways of living. I went to the Dominican Republic and Haiti, Paris, Israel, Dubai, Thailand, Canada, Australia, and New York. It was great to see how even though the world is huge as humans we are all connected in some way or another. It was a beautiful thing. I hope that once Tyson and I get married we will be able to pack up our bags a few times more and see the world together. I hope to dance out way through Spain, eat our way through Italy, and visit as many pubs as we can in Ireland. -Katie
