About Me

Hi there!

My name's Theo. I'm a 21-year-old, Canadian freelance videographer with passions for art, fitness and adventure. I've been dreaming about long-term travel for years now, and I'm finally taking the leap and going for it. I will be travelling through Hawaii for 3 months starting in January!

So far, I have backpacked through Peru and Thailand a few weeks at a time, but I've never travelled for long enough to truly separate myself from my life back home.

Some things I'd like to check off my bucket list are: learning more about the indigenous culture of Hawaii, running the Maui Oceanfront Half-Marathon, learning to surf, going spearfishing, meditating at the top of a mountain, camping and cliff jumping into the ocean!

Some fun facts about me:

- I dropped out of University to focus on video-creation.
- I'm currently challenging myself to create a video every single day for 365 days (going strong since October 17th!).
- I've been meditating consistently for 3 years.
- I almost exclusively take cold showers (I swear it's worth it)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A year ago, I moved cities and slept on my friend's couch to create an online social enterprise called FutureYouth. Our aim was to help inspire and empower youth to follow their dreams, rather than what they've been told to do with their lives. Over the year, we impacted over 700 young people across Ontario, Canada through online content and live speaking at leadership conferences and high schools.

We're currently on pause, as my business partner and I pursue our own dreams, but we'll be back when the time's right!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know quite a bit about video creation, photography and graphic design, and I'm always down to listen to a great story and learn about your life!

I'm a super-curious human being, who is always eager to learn something new.

What I Can Share with Hosts

First and foremost, I love making videos. I've been experimenting and creating videos since I was 11 years old. I'm fascinated by the uniqueness of people and helping them express who they are. Many of my projects centre around that concept (that being said, some are just flat out weird, experimental stuff). If you're up for it, I'd love to collaborate on some projects together and help share your perspective! I've been told I'm a lot of fun to collaborate with :)

In addition to that, I've got some wacky stories from my unconventional life path so far that I would love to share. I'm pretty open minded and would love to hear your crazy stories and ideas as well!
