About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Experience the country and the world with my son. I want to teach him as much as possible through experiencing different places and people.
ABOUT ME
First, I am a Christian, and although I do not always make it, my goal is to show love every person I meet. I currently work as a therapist at a school, and I enjoy photography and gardening. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new things with my son Kaiden. He is in 8th grade, and just finished up his first season on the track team. We are both die hard Alabama Crimson Tide fans (RTR!).
PHILOSOPHY
I know that I can learn a lesson from every person that I meet. I just have to figure it out what it is.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I grew up, my parents frequently moved, and I know that I learned so much from experiencing different cultures. As a single person, I had many different couch surfing experiences both in and out of the US, and was able to meet amazing people around the world. Now that my son is getting older, I want to broaden his view of the world, and one of those ways is meeting new people that are different than us. I hope that couchsurfing will first allow us to meet new people, and learn from each of them. Also, I hope that saving money on hotels will make it possible to take more trips than would be possible due to the cost of always staying in hotels.
Interests
I enjoy working with my hands, whether that's woodworking, gardening, or just tinkering around. I also like working with people... even though I'm definitely an introvert.

Music, Movies, and Books
Kaiden and I both love all different kinds of music, and listening to old time radio. We both love watching a good movie (my favorite is Gladiator). Kaiden is the major book worm, and his favorites include the Redwall Series, Percy Jackson, and anything from Ted Dekker or Marissa Meyer.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After adopting my son, we went on a family cruise to Mexico and got to see all kinds of wild life and historic places.
This summer (2017) may beat Mexico... 5000 mile road trip with 9 national parks in just over a week. This country is amazingly beautiful. From Arches NP to the St. Louis Arch.... I have never been more envious of retired people with motor home!
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe that you can learn something from every single person that you meet if you go in with that mindset. I hope that we are able to learn from new people... I hope that they are able to learn from us as well.
