About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expect the Spanish inquisition

ABOUT ME

All about me? ALL about me?! I'm gonna need more room...
I was born in Israel, but pretty quickly moved with my whole family to Argentina where I spent 5 years trying to grow up and making a mess of it. My dad works for the Israeli MOIT so this was only the first time I'd experience moving around the globe.
When I was 8 we came back to Israel where I became (or tried to become) a normal Israeli guy. If you want to hear about my highschool and university years, you'll just have to invite me over, as it's too embarrassing to post it online.
I've been around the world and seen many countries. In my profile I only put a partial list. Most of the moving around wasn't my idea of course since I was too young, but now I finally got my chance to do some major travelling on my own accord. The biggest, or at least most dramatic trip, I went on so far was "The Israel National Trail" which is a 900km (~560miles) hiking trail going all the way from the north of the country and zig-zagging to the south (Israel is tiny, not even 430km [260miles] from top to bottom). I did it with 2 good friends and for 2 months we walked, slept and breathed the outdoors. It was great and I still have a taste for more, I'm a real outdoors-freak.
I enjoy cooking, reading books, playing basketball, climbing too-tall mountains and navigating through deserts. I love animals, especially dogs (how cliche), and I have a big interest in the fascinating world of alcohol (I'm even a memeber of "The Israeli Whisky Society". yes, there is such a thing and you're welcomed to join...). I love listening to music and playing it (if you can call drumming music really...). I enjoy philosophy but would rather discuss it while changing the oil under the hood of a car.

PHILOSOPHY

Never compromise over your friends, always compromise with them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm actually new to this only on the official level. While doing the INT, we had lots of people taking us in along the road, sometimes for a few hours, sometimes for a whole weekend. It was great and I'd love to repeat the experience, especially in a whole other country than my own. I've never had anyone over and would love to see what that's like (I'm a great host!!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, there were 2 types of CS that I did- the planned one, and the "Oh-my-god-where-are-we-gonna-sleep-now?!" one. Both were wonderful experiences since it's always heart-warming when strange people who don't know you and don't owe you a thing, open up their homes (see "couches") and hearts to you. Even more so, since while travelling you usually look like @#$%, and people even willing to talk to you instead of tossing you a coin (that happened to me too...), is a big thing.

Having a 2.5 hour long dinner in the dark, being served by blind waiters. Basically, it was a simulation of being blind, and it was MIND BLOWING!
