ABOUT ME

I'm ten feet tall and bulletproof. Well, that is to say, I'm tall and would be a substantial competitor if called into duty. As a wannabe writer, poet, and explorer, I love to read and travel and get a hardcore case of the giggles from time to time. I find it an imperative keep a bottle of champagne on hand for last minute celebrations. I delight in bright green, diet coke, and witty turns of phrase.

PHILOSOPHY

I will sum up in the immortal words of a friend of mine: I like to be open minded, but not so much that my brain falls out.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My roommate owns a house (in which I have a room painted bright green (see above)) and she has hosted a few people making their way through Cincinnati in the last year. I myself am getting ready to try to find a couch to surf for an upcoming European tour with my friend Kristen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't been on the receiving end of CS yet but hosting has been a delight :)

Margaret Atwood? Divine author. Also Kurt Vonnegut, C.S. Lewis, Alice Walker and Alice Munro, and I have a special place in my heart for Douglas Adams. My music tastes range from Ray Charles to Sigur Ros to Modest Mouse to a variance of impassioned lady singers. Anything soulful is a-ok by me. Movies I dig are mostly melodramatic artistic crap or ones made before 1970.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of the best things I've done was go to Venice with no idea what I was going to do or when. A friend of mine and I just took a week and wandered the streets, stopping into places as we came by them and wanted to go in. We found a poster for an art exhibit by a warehouse called Ashes and Snow and it was a combination of photography and video of elephants and temple girls and figures swimming with manatees. Totally spectacular, and even better because it was unexpected.
