Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's less mechanical & commodified. Because one gets to share simple things through genuine interaction, and meet extraordinary people.
And because the flat allows me to host.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming to an island (but not in the Venetian lagoon, for obvious reasons). Shooting a very bad movie in New York. Discussing human rights issues with (possibly armed) radical combatants.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sharing time, experiences, knowledge, hacks, tips...
For surfers coming over, well, I usually learn a lot about the towns I live in & will love to share with you some information about their history & some insights into their present dynamics.
For hosts, I can help you practice one of the foreign languages I know, cook some Lebanese, French, Belgian or Italian dish... Share some music or film I like (& have on a USB drive)...

What I Can Share with Hosts

It really depends on the hosts I guess.
I have already cooked for some & shared some of the music I like with others.
But the best times have been good talks while walking or over a drink.
