About Me

Hablo Español, e Inglés mi Bio lo pondré en Inglés porque es más facil para todos.

Hello brother/sister my Name is Gabriel Rivera, I am a creator of arts, but specifically a theatre student in the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus. I say 'creator of arts' because I like creating diferent types of art. I'm not an actor nor musician, nor writter, nor painter, nor cook, nor a designer. I'm a creator.

I love life and all its hidden wonders and small details. I love travelling and exploring the unknown.
I am very curious to know how life is in other countries.
I don't really have much money but my passion for traveling gives me enough support to find a nice budget. There is no need to waste a lot of money on things... one must spend money on experiences.

Ever since I went to Europe I fell in love with platforms such as CS. And now that I am on my island I want to give back.

I live woth my mother and brother in the city of Guaynabo, close to San Juan in the metropolitan area of Puerto Rico. I can't usually host but I love taking people to spots around the island, either beach, or river, or mountain, or nightlife (even before CS).
I can help you get there and we can hang bit, or I could just help you with some answers.
I am always respectful and very adventurous. I'd love to help in any way.

All I want is for visitors to feel as if they are locals so that they can see the Raw island. I want to take foreigners to everywhere the basic tourism doesn't. In Puerto Rico the people are very warm and I will take you as one of my own So contact me if you want to meet up!

Blessings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea of staying in a local's home and and technically live a short period with them is pretty interesting and fun. Must be some great story to tell. That's why I joined couch surfing to find new people to walk me through a day in there lives so they can guide me through the 'raw city'. How locals perceive and live in their home. So esentially I'm here to gain knowledge and friends and also to give back to the comunity.
Since I went to Europe and used couchsurfing I came back to Puerto Rico wanting to give the same in return to visitors here.
I love learning.. so CS is a great tool.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, I can't think of a favorite type of Music or artist... I'm a bit too diverse. I LOVE MUSIC. ALL OF IT
Movies, well: 2001: A Space Odyssey, There Will Be Blood, All of Quentin Tarrantino's, Star Wars, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Fight Club, Victoria, Memento, Inception, The Big Lebowski, to mention some...

TV:
Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Hannibal, Peaky Blinders, Stranger Things, Westworld

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day I organized a massive 'child game' in my college via Facebook, made an event and recorded a simple video promoting it. Hoping 30 would show up... 250 people showed up. I ended up in the news and now I have an Aliance with the College council and we organize games. All of this because I wanted to play like a kid. #NostalgiaGo I loved the feeling of seeing people meet and interact. Some of the people that met that day are in relationships or very close friends. That fills me with joy.

I've acted on several plays. I've composed sound and music for plays. I've written plays.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play Ukulele, how to dance salsa, how to cook a bit, how to play dominoes and how to have incredible fun with less than $5

I love sharing movies and music along with places to go.

Playing "theatre-games" are the best, it soothes the soul and is more than just a "game". Since I study theatre we can do some excercises.

Want to learn how to earthbend...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to improvise music. I like talking about anything and everything. Discussing Movies. Deep conversations.
I love to cook too. Also some roadtrips.
