About Me

Fully vaccinated. Originally from India but living in the US since 2015. Moved initially to upstate NY for grad school and now I live in Seattle. I grew up in a tropical place and I love heavy rainfall especially if it is not cold! I am not a fan of winter but I love an excuse to sit by the fire and watch it snow while sipping on a hot chocolate/cider :) Fall is my favorite season, especially in NE USA, it's magical!

I started traveling after moving to the US and now I combine that with my love of motorcycles. I ride a medium size dual sport motorcycle (it's not loud fyi :))

I'm constantly trying to find the right balance of embracing my wanderlust. I have a remote job, I enjoy riding motorcycles, and I daydream of pursuing nomadic lifestyles.

I enjoy going to live shows, drum circles, museums, galleries, dive bars, and bantering with sassy/funny folks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting over my inhibitions, fear of traveling and meeting strangers. I want to travel through small(er) US towns and cities.

Interests

I'm a social person who enjoys meeting strangers and loves banter. I get very curious about people and cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic rock, grunge, and Pink Floyd.

Sapiens, animal farm, kite runner, shantharam, 100 years of solitude, subtle art of not giving a fuck.

Good, bad and ugly. Jurassic Park, big fish, LOTR.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a large truck, carrying a ship across a mountain range! That made no sense.
On the same trip in India, I saw couple of young men carrying their parents on a palanquin to holy sites as part of some ancient pilgrimage custom. I grew up in India and it still had me surprised.
I attended the largest and possibly oldest religious congregation of people on the banks of Ganges.
Herd of elephants, well camouflaged, moving through hills consisting large boulders (deccan plateau in India) - it feels like the mountain boulders are moving, cause they look the same from below.
Ganga and yamuna converging and three oceans/seas converging at the southern tip of India.
Mount Rainier - every day in Seattle!

Teach, Learn, Share

I come from a very unique culture which gives me a unique perspective. I grew up in a land that knows magic, Gods/Goddesses, and with rich culture and traditions. I am a story teller and love sharing my culture the folklore I grew up on! The most common animal I saw growing up was an elephant and I lived in a city, ask me about it :D

I'm constantly learning in life and work. I like to read philosophy but I usually take a long time to get through them. I day dream a lot!

Happy to share my culture and cook you authentic Indian food!
