About Me

🦄 Good day 🌈🧚🏻‍♂️

Here is Udo,
*NOTE: You may always try but outside summer (and for some other irrational reasons) it is unlikely I ll host at the moment.*

🏠 in Amsterdam, Oud West.
Nervous though sincere nature trying to avoid sicknesses from capitalism, neo-liberalism and beyond.

Enjoying the meta of life as an alibi to take a break from reality. Recently remembered I enjoy photobombing. I should pick up on that again. Occasionally enjoying sailing big and small.
Occasionally pescatarian, full time vegetarian. Allergic to (cheap) perfume, perfumed laundry detergents, deodorants, air fresheners and such.

Sometimes I like to host. This profile states the minimum conditions in which I may do so. If you request I assume you read it and agree.
For sure I d love to hang out and show you around. Of course we also may have our own separate plans.

Trying to maintain daily yoga practise. Fear not, you don’t have to join 😅

As I need to somehow connect I am looking forward to your clear and motivated request. Do request how many day you need, elaborate on your plans, why you chose me as your host etcetera, and we ll see if and what fits.

Amsterdam is a big village/small town with a wild reputation of freedom and independency. It also highly capitalises tourism appropriating that reputation. Never the less it is magically beautiful in it’s very own way ,…
Everything is fairly within 🚶🏽‍♀️ and 🚴🏿 distance. Urban and inter-local public transport is expansive though fairly good. Within Amsterdam and surrounding regions a 🚲 is the way to go.

Please read the ‘my home’-section and additional information onwards and, in your request, prove you did. I may blindly decline if you didn’t.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Believing in (and relying on) the kindness of stranger.
An extra reason to clean my home more often.
Enjoying the surprise from those ‘strangers’ bringing their ways, food and culture, seeing my home and this city through their eyes.

📖 Dyslectic slow reader, if any, non-fiction history. some NL literature, mainly Comics/Graphic Novels, drawn to old school encyclopaedias and also socials as a knowledge bank.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

My home, live life, cook, drink (not persé alcoholic, sober curious), eat, (vegetarian, occasionally pescatarian), sleep, navigating the hostile Amsterdam traffic, bit of historical detail
Sailing. However I do not have a boat, my friends have, and I sometimes rent one for a day.

Surviving this beautiful and cruel world. :-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Up till now I only host. If I ever willsurf, I can share my ability to repair things (except for broken hearts and minds). My somewhat weird and original character loyal and open to sincerety.
It comes without saying (well, I anyway say it here) I am tidy and doing my chores, both at home as well as at others. Usually leaving places at least as I found them or better, as I expect the same from my guests.
