About Me

I've been a journalist, writer and traveler for over a decade, aiming for a free life full of experiences, adventures and beautiful encounters. The last couple of years though (is it an age thing??) I've felt that it's also nice with some structure and everyday life, so a new path emerged: to become a psychologist and maybe get one of those stable jobs one day... MAYBE! Either way: bless Sweden for free education and the opportunity for change.

After a last stressfull pandemic year at the university I'm taking a short (or long?) break from Sweden before I try out my new field of work. October 2021 I'm off to Portugal for the first time, for some yoga training in Ericeira, a little bit of freelance work and to just do something new and experience something else. I haven't used couchsurfing for several years, but my hope is that it will work its usual magic and connect me with some nice people and keep me from wandering around completely confused and alone for too long =D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't even understand how traveling happened before couchsurfing! It's just the most awesome way to get to know people and the countries. I've surfed through big parts of Latin america, Europe, Middle east and Asia, and met the best guides and friends along the way. It's also the very best way to stay safe in foreign lands.

Interests

Top interest is gaining perspectives from outside my own bubble. Naturally through traveling. In my everyday life I keep myself happy by doing yoga, meditating, dancing salsa and bachata which is the best form of soul hugging and mind emptying in the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every trip I've made has been revolutionary in it's own way. Latin America made me who I am in many ways... giving me space to develop my own mind. But traveling to India over land, crossing through Europe, Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan, was the far most challenging trip I've made (so far). I left more confused than I came. Humble, fascinated and very tired.

Teach, Learn, Share

Swedish, very usefull language I promis! If not convinced I can talk for several hours about the brain and human behaviour and when you're tired of listening I can instruct you on some basic yoga poses, meditation techniques and salsa steps. When it comes to learning I keep an open mind, so bring it on.
