About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Visit Ireland before I graduate college, and finish the novel I have based on the coast.
ABOUT ME
I'm a generally very happy person. I like to laugh, and I have a positive attitude towards everything. I'm a happy person that concerns myself greatly with trying to make other people happy. I really enjoy art, and I'm studying art therapy currently. I like all genres of art, mainly writing, drawing, cinematography, photography, and music. While I like to have fun, I have been told I am the very definition of level headed in the sense that I usually think about things a lot before doing them. I am very spontaneous, though, as contradicting as that seems. I am a very trustworthy person, wanting to be a therapist and psychologist and all. I'm open minded and not judgmental at all. I try to make the most out of every situation and am a firm believer in doing what makes YOU happy. I'm a bit shy at first, but I quickly become comfortable with people and open up. As my family likes to point out to me often, I have a hard time shutting up when I get started. I have many tales from the short amount of life I've lived so far, and love to tell about them. I also love hearing other peoples stories and about them as people, I find everyone fascinating. Actually, I find everything fascinating. I'm the type of person who will stop suddenly in the middle of a sentence to comment on how beautifully green the grass is. I appreciate the immense and glorious beauty of the planet we live on, and want to see more of it, which is what I'm doing here. I hope to be able to sit down at the end of my life and say I traveled each continent at least once.
PHILOSOPHY
Do more than exist.
Simple, but a sentence I feel truly represents myself and what I think everyone should do. Despite your religious, spiritual, political, intellectual, (etc.) beliefs, we're all on this planet and should make the most of it. To kind of quote Seuss, we have minds and feet, why not put them to the most use we can?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first heard about CS a year ago at Frostburn, the Pittsburgh regional burn (a small version of Burning Man, but cold). I haven't gotten out there much with the CS community, but plan on changing that big time. I'm interested in meeting Pittsburgh surfers, or anyone surfing through Pittsburgh. The rest of the inhabitants of my house and I have a pretty busy schedule, so I don't know how much hosting I can do, but send a request and hopefully I can at least meet up with people to show them around the area.
I love Pittsburgh, with moving like a nomad all throughout my childhood I'm able to see the true splendor the city and it's surroundings has to offer.
I also plan on surfing as much as I can, hopefully most weekends this upcoming summer. I'll be traveling by megabus, so if you live in an awesome area of the US that megabus travels to, let me know and maybe I'll come visit it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hope to be entering some experiences in here soon!
Interests
I spend my time doing a lot of different things. I'm a full time student, so I spend a good amount of my time in class and doing school work. In my free time I do everything from reading to camping in winter with 400 other people at a Burner event called Frostburn. I make YouTube videos, write, try and learn instruments, and hang out with people. I also like trying new things, so I'm always doing something different.
I frequent local coffee shops, including a favorite on my street that holds a weekly open mic, where I sometimes read poems or short stories. I also go to the Carnegie Museum of Art and Natural History a lot, mainly because as a student I get in free and its an amazing place. I've been there countless times already and still have things to see. I also like roaming around downtown or neighborhoods I haven't traveled much, trying to find cool shops or yummy restaurants.
I pretty much like doing anything, and expand my interests daily.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mirror Mask, Donnie Darko, The Brothers Grimm, Benny and Joon, Grandma's Boy, The Haunting in Connecticut, anything really. Jimmy Eat World, The Fratellis, The Gorillaz, The Red Hot Chile Peppers, The Beatles, Sublime, Jeffrey Lewis, TMBG, and much much more for music. I honestly will read any work of fiction, and I'm a super soft literary critic. A recent favorite is The Night Circus, though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing moments of my life was on a high school field trip. We went to Antietam to visit the landmarks and such, and at one point we all climbed this hill and went through this little forest area, and at the top there was an awesome rock formation and a gorgeous view.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach how to make a mean chicken and cheese quesadilla, and maybe a little Spanish, too. I'll probably end up telling you that "El gato en mi pantalones es en fuego, agua! Agua!" though. I'm open to learn absolutely anything, and would like to learn everything.
