Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had a long desire to travel since I was a child. My grandfather travelled across the world 40 years ago, which was a rare for a middle class Indian family with limited education. I have grown up listening to his travel stories, mostly good. I want to relive my childhood with him by creating my own stories, and hope he can see me living a travellers life from heaven or wherever they go after they leave us. Damn! that went down south
But on a lighter note, I am looking for experiences that I can tell my grand children and inspire them to travel the way I got inspired
I am hoping through couchsurfing, we travel not tour places. This means about learning about the culture while living with people rather than just looking at them

I have couchsurfed twice in one long trip in winters of 2019, sadly that was my first and last couchsurfing because of COVID. I am hoping to do it more once restrictions open. happy to host folks (max, 2-3) at a time because of the size of my house

Movies - Cannot just start from anywhere but my favourite is the stereotypical Dark Knight. Having said that, i do watch the lots of Citizen Kane, I just love movies. More than reading books to be honest

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing for me has to be clearing state level swimming and badminton championship (Junior Level) both on the same day but in two different cities. The challenge was to win straight matches in badminton in the morning and win left over rounds in swimming by the evening

What I Can Share with Hosts

- Happy to share extra bedrooms, grocery (for short stays) and regular trip to grocery stores for long stays , appliances bathroom, etc. Anything you need as long as you are not a weirdo and eat with your mouth closed
