I have to note that it is quite fun revisiting my profile after not using CouchSurfing for some years. Kind of feels like looking at an old diary. Luckily, most of what I've written still feels true to me, so I'm going to leave it mostly as is and just update it a bit😊

I am a very positive person, I really try to see and find the best everyone and everything. I know that this is a sometimes annoying quality, but I can't change who I am :) One thing you should probably know about me is that I'm not the kind of guy who likes to party all the time. I always prefer a nice bar, a beer and a good conversation about the principles of quantum physics or other light topics ;-) I also don't really mind staying at home and watching a movie from time to time... I really like films :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host when possible. I can't really show you around a lot because I have to work, but you're always welcome to accompany me and my friends when we're doing something in the evening (you don't have to though).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started to use CouchSurfing in 2011/2012, when I was traveling the US. I mostly relied on CS for a straight six months of travel and I'm astonished to this day at the sheer volume of great connections that I've been able to make based on this website. There are so many lovely, unique, funny, generous, kind-hearted, interesting and lovable people out there - not just on CouchSurfing, but everywhere (though it is a bit easier to find them here 😂).

Books: everything by Walter Moers, Momo, any Sherlock Holmes novel, anything by E.A. Poe, The Parfume, any averagely-written thriller/fantasy/historical book 😅

TV: I'm actually a huge fan of tv series. Some of my favorites (still) include: Sherlock, The Newsroom, Doctor Who, Dexter, Luther - recently, I've also discovered The Outlaws, which still makes me chuckle when I think about it 😂

I speak German and can teach you the most common phrases if you like. It's a pretty hard language to learn I guess, but I promise you'll be able to buy a beer in Cologne when we're done! :)

I can't really cook but I do a fairly good pizza and am a skilled show-me-what-you-need-and-I'll-cut-it-up-for-you :)

I would love to learn Spanish.

Not, I'd love to learn how to draw properly, I always try to improve on my photography, I always wanted to write a book ... there's just so much stuff to learn! Are you good at something? Maybe that's what I've always wanted to learn 😂
