ABOUT ME

I'm originally from England but have lived in Estonia for the past ten years. I live in an old university town called Tartu. There are a lot of students here and it has a very bohemian atmosphere with lots of bars, cafes, and restaurants. It's a unique place and you should definitely visit if you get chance.

I run my own business, an internet start-up which publishes online language-learning resources and apps (www.speaklanguages.com).

I've hosted and couchsurfed a few times, and have always had good experiences.

I've got a wide range of interests including reading, the cinema, music, chess, and especially travelling. I also enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and running. I love learning languages.

I particularly enjoy books by William Boyd. Some of my favourite movies include The Ice Storm and The English Patient.

I'm not sure I've done anything "amazing", but I'm well travelled and have seen lots of interesting places. I particularly enjoyed trekking in Vietnam and also participated in an archaeological excavation in South Africa some years ago which was fun.
