After travelling for a year to more than 20 countries in various parts of Europe, Middle East and Asia, I started my Master studies in Lund, Sweden!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

'Cause it is the best place to meet and get to know great people from other countries and cultures! Having been on Couchsurfing for a few years now, both surfing and hosting, I feel as if I've got good friends (and even homes!) in so many parts of the world :)

Interests

Travelling (as for most of the people on CS, I'm sure!)
Social businesses and international development
Music - singing, playing the guitar, the piano & the clarinet (fancy a couchband?)
Living together with locals from other cultures and thoroughly understanding people different from me
Football, but sports of all kinds
Cooking (especially those dishes that are are delicious and easy to prepare!)
Now that I'm writing about myself here on Couchsurfing, I've understood I've got a deep interest in exclamation marks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was a small boy, I was awake for an entire night ... Ok, I've actually got some stories! Some that pop to my head now:

1. Hiked in a desert of Oman for a week together with guys from both Europe and Middle-East!
2. Hitchhiked to a car with a huge rifle gun in Romania.
3. Ran from [GUESS WHO] in Brunei.
4. Being thought of as a criminal in front of the FED.
5. Being the closest to what can be considered Soviet Union in my lifetime: Transnistria!
6. Swam inside the stars in the waters of Sri Lanka.
7. Been hit by Dengue fever two times in one month in SE Asia :O
8. ... and so much more!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to find people to practice my Russian and Swedish with, and I'm always up for learning how to prepare delicious national dishes :)

About the sharing and teaching ... making music (singing, playing various instruments), preparing Eastern European dishes, travelling on budget and getting a "local" taste from different cultures, and a lot more! I'm sure we'll find a common topic!
