About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To create and compose the world's first ukulele mass!!

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in the suburbs of Boston, ventured to the north woods of Maine for school, and now i'm kicking it in Portland. I love to make music and art, exchange stories, cook delicious meals for friends new and old and to challenge people to hummus making competitions (seriously). Oh, and I love mutton chops as well...and dancing.

PHILOSOPHY

There's nothing more relaxing than watching pita bread rise in a 500 degree oven during a heat wave.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sleep on your couch. You sleep on mine. We cook meals together, eat, exchange stories and then make some music. Also good, local brews are encouraged!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During the beginning of summer 2009, A friend and I went on a trip across the USA. We couchsurfed in New Orleans, San Francisco, and Portland Oregon, and Chicago- The experience was absolutely incredible. Our hosts were amazing and we made some new friends along the way.

Since then I've been able to co-host a few people in Farmington, ME and I just had my first surfer this past week in Portland.

We've had a few surfers up here in farmington this past year and so far everyone's been great!

Interests

Ukuleles, pianos, art, minimalist compositions, mutton chops, freshly baked pita bread, homemade hummus, dancing, shellfish.

Music, Movies, and Books

Zadie Smith, Douglas Adams, Kurt Vonnegut, Thomas Merton, Flannery O'Connor, John Sinclair, Flaming Lips, Animal Collective, Vince Guaraldi, Panda Bear, Andrew Bird, Reich, Adams, many many many more. Oh! and ukuleles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've sprinted through the streets of Rome during a torrential downpour to catch the rain falling through the oculus of the Pantheon. One of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. Waking up in a cloud on top of a mountain in western maine was good too.

Teach, Learn, Share
