About Me
Hi, I'm Ulas. I am a 22-year-old political science student at Sciences Po Lyon, bridging the gap between Middle Eastern dynamics and European perspectives. I'm a mix of cultures: native in Turkish and Kurdish, fluent in English, and currently tackling French
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I usually travel on my own, and when I do, I appreciate making some friends during the trip—meeting new people and sharing the experience with them. I'm planning a big Europe trip.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a lot of favourite movie :) some of them is The 400 Blows by François Truffaut, Persona from Ingmar Bergman and The Dreamers from Bernardo Bertolucci, and for music I like The Stranglers. I'm interested in history and politics books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learning to navigate and communicate in four different languages (Turkish, Kurdish, English, and French) while living in different cultures. It’s not just about words; it’s about understanding people's souls
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you basic phrases in Turkish and Kurdish. I can show you how to make a proper Turkish tea or a simple, delicious Middle Eastern breakfast
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m currently living in Lyon, which basically means I’ve been officially spoiled by good food. I love the vibe of a shared table—it’s where the best stories happen. I’m always down to whip up a proper Turkish breakfast or some Middle Eastern snacks while we talk about everything from world politics to our favorite movies. I promise to keep the music good (lots of post-punk!) and the kitchen clean. For me, it’s all about good vibes, great conversations, and making sure nobody leaves the table hungry!
