About Me
I work in Kosovo on international cooperation and climate change, in a project that also works on waste management and sustainable urban development. So even if you have seen only a bit of Kosovo already, you will understand that I won't get bored for quite a while ;)
Kosovo has great mountains, so whenever I can find time I'm out of town to go hiking, cycling or traveling the region.
I also read a lot and started and recently started an International Book Swap. If you should be in town on the last Wednesday of the month, you are most invited to join us 18-20:00 at Lavjerrs Culture. Also without any book - it's a social event, not a book market.
Currently I'm the only host in Prishtina on a platform for cyclists (warmshowers.org) and getting a lots of requests there. As I had to turn down more than half of requests on cCS as I was either out of town or already hosting cyclists,, "not available" seemed to be the more honest setting - but I do host couchsurfers if I am in town and not too busy. I'll also try to help with local advice if I can. Unless you are looking for best places. to hang out for beers or go clubbing - I stopped drinking alcohol a while ago, so I am really the wrong person for that kind of info ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined CS way back 2012 when living in Tbilisi, Georgia, where it was great to meet other locals and travellers, with monthly meetups and and active forum. Last year I reactivated my profile after moving to Kosovo, and plan to participate in the CS here more regularly.
I do post my travel plans in local forums sometimes, e.g. if I plan to attend a concert, event or local tour and am looking for people interested to join.So if you found my profile in the "Upcoming Visitors" part for you city: I am always interested in local events, alternative music, nicest bookstore in town, but. also shisha bar or tea house and similar places to chill. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not past, but future: Next trips are a 4 day E-MTB tour to the Southeastern part of Kosovo (Kamenica, Novo Bredo, Gjilan, maybe Ferizaj) and then over Easter holidays a 2 week bike tour of Western Macedonia and Southern Albania. Route tbd, but probably Tetovo - Mavrovo NP - Lake Ohrid - Korca - Leskovik- Gjirokaster - Sarande - Vlora - berat - Elbasan - TransDinarica Eastern Albania Route back toPrizren and then back to Prishtina. If you should by any chance have any advice. of "not to miss" places (or also "better skip"), feel free to share :)

On the Kosovo-Serbia border question everyone keeps asking about:
If enter Kosovo via Macedonia or Albania and want to continue to Serbia, you might get trouble from the Serbian side of the border. Because Serbia still claims that Kosovo is Serbia and if you don#t have a Serbian entry stamp you entered illegaly. Both countries accept ID of EU and many other countries, and you can't stamp an idea. So not showing your passport, but your ID at the border is a way to avoid this issue (if your country ID is among those accepted)
If you should be staying in Prishtina longer, I strongly recommend to subscribe to the "Suzanne Podcast". Substack, best overview. on what's going on. in terms of culture and live music I have found.
