Since I was a child, my favorite reading has always been the maps, imagining through them trips that I have finally managed to realize. Since 2006 I work as a casino croupier and I have always loved traveling, so, after traveling all over Argentina while living in Buenos Aires, I decided to find a way to live travelling around the world by working on cruise ships, without stop travelling even when I'm on vacation. We could say that, since then, I have not disassembled my backpack.

Desde niño, mi lectura favorita siempre han sido los mapas, imaginándome a través de ellos viajes que finalmente he logrado concretar. Desde 2006 trabajo como croupier de casino y desde siempre me ha gustado viajar, por eso, tras recorrer toda la Argentina mientras vivía en Buenos Aires, decidí encontrar la manera de vivir viajando por el resto del mundo mediante el trabajo en cruceros, sin dejar de viajar cuando estoy de vacaciones. Podríamos afirmar que, desde entonces, no he desarmado mi mochila.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´m on Couchsurfing to find people who help me to have the chance to know a different culture, living it from their own environment, that would be, at least from my opinion, really more interesting than visiting a country or city as a tourist.

Estoy en Couchsurfing para conocer un destino contemplándolo desde la cultura local, viviendo, de esta manera, una experiencia muchísimo más enriquecedora que si visito un sitio como turista.

Interests

In every destination which I visit, I show interest in learning something about the history of the country where I am. Also, I like to watch football, so I like to visit stadiums to know the teams which represent the city which I´m visiting. Although I practise hitchiking, I love to travel by train, even always I visit the railway station wherever I am. Where it´s possible, I look for some mountain o viewpoint to enjoy panoramic views.

En cada destino que visito, me intereso un poco por la historia del país y presto especial atención al futbol, en qué estadio se juega y qué equipos representan a la ciudad en cuestión; además, si bien suelo viajar ciertos tramos a dedo, me gusta viajar en tren y suelo visitar la estación ferroviaria en cada ciudad que piso, se encuentre activa o no. En lugares donde es posible, busco miradores con vistas panorámicas.

Music, Movies, and Books

That depends on my feelings in the moment; I Listen to pretty music from my country, mainly Argentinian rock, but most of the times I combine that with some electro or Brazilian music.

Depende mucho de mi estado de ánimo en cada momento: escucho mucha música argentina (a veces rock nacional y a veces, cuarteto), aunque suelo alternarla con música electrónica y algo de brasilero.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

¿Do I have to choose just one thing?. OK. For me it has been a pleasure to travel around all the provinces of my country, but now, I want to go around other countries, not only by visiting their interesting places but also to learn their culture and habits. So, I think I doesn´t matter what I´ve done, I just take care about everything I still want to do!!!.

¿Tengo que elegir una sola?. OK. He tenido la oportunidad (y no la desperdicié) de haber recorrido a fondo mi propio país, habiendo recorrido sus 23 provincias y habiendo ido, a todas ellas, por tierra. Ahora, de esa misma forma, quiero recorrer otros países, no sólo desde sus caminos sino también desde su cultura y costumbres. Por eso, hoy por hoy, lo importante no es lo que he hecho, sino, lo que quiero hacer.

Teach, Learn, Share

Regarding TEACHING, I could teach my native language (Spanish) or something about my country, beside a few countable things. But the funniest part in this item is TO LEARN, because nobody can count everything that somebody is able to learn, and that is which always motivates me to know any different destination.

Para ENSEÑAR, puedo enseñar mi idioma o algo sobre sobre mi país, y algunas otras cosas que se pueden contar con los dedos de una mano. La parte más divertida de este punto es la de APRENDER, ya que uno nunca puede contar todo lo que se puede aprender, y esa infinitud es lo interesante de esta cuestión y lo que me motiva a conocer, cada día, un nuevo destino.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I consider myself as friendly, attentive, calm, neat and clean. Just as visiting each house one can take lists of pending films, recommended books, new additions to personal routines and original recipes, by my side, I can share anecdotes and experiences from my trips, as well as the experiences which have made me helped to plan them better. Although just this year I am developing about cooking, I have always been an expert in washing dishes (even I have worked on that!).

Me considero simpático, atento, tranquilo, ordenado y limpio. Así como al visitar cada casa uno se lleva listas de películas pendientes, libros recomendados, nuevas incorporaciones a la rutina personal y recetas originales, yo, por mi parte, puedo compartir anécdotas y vivencias de mis viajes, como así también las experiencias que me han ayudado a ir planificándolos mejor. Si bien recién este año estoy desarrollando el tema de la cocina, siempre fui experto en lavar los platos (incluso hasta he trabajado de eso!!!).
