ABOUT ME

I come from a really strange place in South Africa which up until today never ceases to amaze me. Its an Indian village in africa, and in someways makes me the perfect (or maybe not so perfect) blend of east and west (and a little african too).

I've always wanted to travel the world, see new places and meet new people. Easier said than done, as life has a way of boxing us in and as I have come to realise "better now than never".

How can I describe myself...thats a little difficult, (i hope that people see me as/) I'd like to think of myself as easy going, friendly, reliable and honest.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not religious person but I definitely believe in God. so here is my personal philosphy...
Life is like a jigsaw puzzle, sometimes we have a hard time putting the pieces together or seeing the bigger picture, and we may not always know what we are doing, but God sees the whole picture.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well right now I don't have my own place, but as soon as I am settled, will definitely make sure that there is an extra room just for CS's.

Feel free to ask me anything about places I have travelled, or my country. If I am not able to show you around, will at least be able to point you in the right direction.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met a few CS's during my first trip to the middle east. Its an amazing channel to interact and experience life through the eyes of the locals. Afterall all a place is nothing without the people.

I am inlove with nature. Anywhere tranquil, serene and scenic.

Cooking... I'm still working on this one, although I can definitely cook a great curry. Please share any interesting recipes you may have.

Dancing... I love to party. Don't really like smoky bars though and I dont drink alcohol. but if there is a party, don't forget to invite me.

Gymming...I like working out (although am not sure if its working :) ) The gym is my second home. My brother is also a bodybuilding champion. ( I just had to mention that).

Music... all kinds. Love to hear the local music and what you are listening to. So please download some tunes onto my ipod.

Movies... a little bit of everything. although i don't really like action movies, prefer something with abit more of a plot. No Bollywood please (besides having to read subtitles)I think they killed the romance theme.

Books...okay, am not much of a reader. I prefer numbers.

Well I have backpacked through the middle east alone, which for me was really incredible, considering the fact that I am a number cruncher who spends most of my time infront of a computer.

I'm trying to get through the 7 wonders of the world..
and have seen The Great Pyramids of Geyser, the Taj Mahal and Petra in Jordan.
Mount Nemrut in Turkey is definitely one of the highlights.
