Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I truly love CS, it created already so many priceless beautiful moments. I don't use this community anymore to save money, much more to get to know as many exciting people as possible - as a traveler or later again as a host.

Everyone has their own story of life, their own reason why to travel ... I really enjoy those moments, when we start sharing these stories.

I could spend my money for an hostel or Airbnb, I'm not a poor traveler student but I prefer to meet with locals or with other travelers for sharing good food/ wine/beers while having good conversations, to explore the areas together and to learn more about the places/cities/countries. But I also can be for myself - so if someone has only a couch but not really time for me , I can do a visit/sightseeing trip on my own too ;)

Interests

I love to spend my time in nature, to go hiking - especially in the mountains. I also like to be out at night, there is a completely different atmosphere in the city and nature and I love to capture the lights or the starry sky in photographs.

I try constantly to expand my knowledge. The human body for example is very fascinating and I enjoy reading and learning everything about it. I also try to work in different areas while traveling to learn new skills. My curiosity about life is like a sponge that always absorbs everything-my current fascination is epigenetics, if you've never heard of it you should look into it, it's mindblowing.

I loooove to share food , yes I am a chef but for me there is almost no better way to connect with people than with good food. Ok there is another way, but this only exists in south america with a good cup of mate 🧉

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

to stop smoking ! - I finally managed to put this nonsense behind me

2015 - My first hiking/backpack-trip on lombok in Indonesia... we climbed on the vulkano called Rinjani. It was an amazing experience for me, I had never seen such a beautiful view before and i found my love to hike and for travelling 🖤

2015 - Another great experience for me was the first time to dive in the sea - it's completely a different world under the sea. This has become one of my favourite activities 🐳

2017 - living 2 weeks in a small VW Polo and driving around Iceland. it was my first trip alone and since then i have been traveling alone most of the time, it is definitely another adventure and experience of traveling.

2019 - i lived for a while on a catamaran and helped out with different kind of jobs on board. as a result, i earned some basic knowledge about sailing itself - now i can´t wait for a bigger sailing adventure, like crossing the atlantic once. i am really looking for more experiences :)

2019 - Best couchsurfing experience so far : i lived 2 weeks on an private island in the caribbean, only me, a fat boar and my host who lived on his sailboat. I'm happy to tell you this story when we get to know each other

2019 - starting my long-term travel till today ( 2024 ) - Traveling with open end, without return ticket ( wherever that may be actually ) with the intention or the knowledge to stay somewhere for longer where I feel good and comfortable. I try as often as i can to let me guide by my gut ;) - one of the things I've learned to appreciate is listening to my inner voice. It's fascinating where this voice has taken me and how I've changed for the better.
To do and live as it makes me happy right now, is the best school for me and my life you can imagine. I wish everyone would be able to have this experience once

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you basic knowledge of cooking or baking ( if the kitchen equipment is available ;)) )

I like to share my travel experience and can give you tips on how to travel on low budget

I always have some ideas to make new pictures, preferably at night to play with lights - join me and we create beautiful moments in photos - and ( if needed ) I can show you some tips and tricks about night photography ( I have a sony alpha 6400 )

What I Can Share with Hosts

A lot of good mood 😉 cooking or bake something you like. A small present from my current place - if we get in touch soon enough, then I can bring you something from the country or city I stay while I contact you ! I can also help you in the household, I am very organized and good in cleaning ;) I always love to help
