About Me

I'm back in Vienna for December/January. I'm happy to have like-minded people staying with me for that time-period! I'm hosting to make friends if I can and getting to know someone takes time, so only write to me if you can stay more than one night. (Unless you think that we would get along so amazingly that to not meet would be the greater shame. ;) ) I have time to spend even during the day and would be game to explore places I have not seen myself yet. (The more non-touristy the better.) If you are looking for a tour guide or someone to show you local gems though, you might be better off with a different host.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To find people with a different view on life and to connect with them. I do not care about culture or countries, the experiences I seek are of a unique and very much personal nature. In order to get that I try to find a good match to my hosting/surfing and to have clarity about expectations.

If you're a surfer let me know what it is that you enjoy doing, how you could see yourself sharing time with me, and if it fits my own non-exhaustive list, we'll probably have a great time! If I sound boring or weird to you - you'll probably be happier with someone else (no matter how appealing the thought of staying for free might be to you)!

Teach, Learn, Share

Some of the things I'm good at and enjoy doing:

Follow IKEA furniture manual instructions, agonise over the idea of actually going ice swimming, take photos of precious things that someone declutters, have hour long conversations about the importance of complaining, attend weird meetups, organise treasure hunts, make annoying suggestions as someone plays Life is Strange (wrongly, of course), and no, I don't want to switch places, uh and aw at photos taken of Kim jong-un statues, listen to heartache, play duets on the piano, get people together to have a success team event, stop-watch a Spanish movie to learn new words, free inner demons, explore that creepy old empty factory at the end of that inadequately lit lane, exit some locked rooms, forget to feed my sourdough starter, paint walls or cupboards, dance really poorly to Jerk It Out, gush over tiny houses on Pinterest or youtube, perfect CVs, give dating app advice, decipher alien messages on public trails and disturb people's peace of mind by poking it.
