About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have fun, Make Movies, and Live Life.

ABOUT ME

I'm an honest sincere fellow just trying to get around in the world. I enjoy the simple things in life and try to celebrate them as much as possible. I believe in the golden rule and attempt to apply it in everyday life as much as possible. I'm a drinker but not an alcoholic, preferring spirits and wine over beer. I'm not a cigarette smoker but am friendly towards herb. I'm also a pretty fine cook and am totally willing to cook for an appreciative audience.

I currently work a Night Shift, so my availability is extremely limited I'm afraid. 100% Vaccinated and Boosted vs Covid19.

PHILOSOPHY

"No Matter where you go, There you are..." Buckaroo Banzai

"Failure has a thousand excuses, Success doesn't need one." Sir Alec Guiness

"The Road goes ever on and on, down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the road has gone, and I must follow if I can. Pursuing it with eager feet, until it joins some larger way. Where many paths and errands meet, and whither then I cannot say." JRR Tolkien

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent on and off two years traveling abroad within the United States, and met many groovy people in the cities and towns I visited. So far I've had nothing but fantastic experiences and I look forward to having more great experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spent my last two teenage years homeless surfing friends couches with my trusty sleeping bag. Most recently began to use the Couchsurfing Network to visit other places and get to know the people there. I've found you learn a lot more about a place staying with a local than staying at a Hotel and doing Tourist Stuff.

Interests

Overall I have many interests, and enjoy learning new things. The World is there to be enjoyed and experienced.

I'm kind of a Nerd, and a Geek, but I'm friendly and Sociable.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like so many movies my top ten varies moment to moment, and strongly by mood.

Musical preferences tend towards the mood I'm in as well, but I can almost always listen to either Frank Sinatra, or Pink Floyd.

Books: I tend to prefer science fiction and fantasy, and a good pulp novel is always nice. Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman are two favorites, but I really find myself loving the Dresden Files recently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many amazing and wonderful things in this world I have experienced, and will experience, it is impossible to say One. How does one weigh their first snowfall or their first sunset, or the warm waves lapping at their feet as they watch their final sunrise against each other?

Teach, Learn, Share

I have few things I can teach that I consider noteworthy. I suppose I could teach you the finer points of checking ID's, or some basic bar tending tricks. Maybe how to cook a tasty gumbo or collared greens. I'm getting involved more heavily with professional photography and videography so might be able to show a few things there too!

I'm always open to new experiences and live for the stories of real lives told by real people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories.

Stories are what we are. Our stories are our lives, our experiences. History is our stories. Our stories are the future. Our stories share who we are, what has made us who we are, and bring light in the darkness. Stories are what bind us together, through sharing them. Our stories intertwine, even if only for brief times, they inform us that we are not alone, and that there is something that will live beyond us, as that sharing is carried by those that we are connected to, even if only in small ways, throughout the generations.

As long as humans continue to exist, and share each others lives, and touch those around us, we will live on long beyond our physical time.
