I'm an open-minded American woman from the South that loves to travel and learn about language and culture.

My personal philosophy is best heard in person; however, I generally think that the golden rule is the answer--treat others as you would have them treat you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been lucky enough to find an apartment, bike and very cool people via CouchSurfing. I'm happy to hang or travel with people in Atlanta. Also, I'm available to provide anyone with advice on traveling in Colombia, Japan or the Southeast of the United States, particularly Atlanta.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just moved to back to Atlanta, Georgia after living in Bogotá, Colombia for two years. As a CS member in Bogotá I enjoyed picnics, concerts, nights out and dinners with a LOT of CS members; some of us became great friends. Everyone has been very generous with their time and knowledge. It's great to be a part of CS. Get out there and make some new friends!

Interests

Music, dancing and languages are terribly interesting to me. I love to read and spend time in nature. Museums are also a favorite of mine. Nothing beats a good meal with good company and conversation!

Music, Movies, and Books

GAH! I love so many movies, books and different kinds of music; it's impossible to list them here. So you have some idea, I'll list a few but I really like about everything. Movies: Antonia's Line, Dirty Love, But I'm a Cheerleader, Amores Perros, About a Boy, Love Actually, Bridget Jones, Almodovar movies, El Labarinto del Fauno, etc. Music: Bjork, Lila Downs, Brazilian Girls, Bonnie Raitt, Audioslave, Jay Z, Ciara, Mary J. Blige, Utada Hikaru, Sakamoto Maya, Julieta Venegas, Café Tacvba, La 33, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been lucky to have a number of amazing places-Eno shima for New Year's day, swimming in the sea off of Mallorca, experiencing Machu Picchu early in the morning, walking down a dirt road in my home town on a bright, beautiful day, experiencing Día de los Muertos in Oaxaca and climbing in Iguaque with great friends!

Obvio que me encanta estudiar español. Es un sueño mío poder hablar más idiomas. Claro que aprender cualquier tipo de baile me encantaría también. Me he interesado mucho en estos días en la gastronomía también. ¡Cocinemos algo juntos!
