Aloooooha! My name is Umi and I am a Hawaiian Mormon woman who loves to travel, sing, dance, learn, and serve. I love learning about different cultures, love a good book or movie, enjoy the outdoors, and want to see the world.

FYI i live far from the city so not the most convenient, about an hour from airport, waikiki, honolulu, etc. I also work several jobs so sometimes I work the entire day and night so can't always be much of a host! I would love to just explore Hawaii with you but have to make that money and so often won't be around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When i travel, i rarely stay in hotels and choose hostels or friend's houses. But in places where I have never been, i would rather stay with locals and experience the real place instead of the tourist experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Served a volunteer church mission for 1.5 years in South Korea, learning a new language and leaving my career and family behind. It was so hard but so worth it!
