About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To die smiling

ABOUT ME

Me, me, I, myself, blah, me, I, blah, blah blah. Okay, got that out my system. Oh wait, no, here's more... I spent five years living in the Kingdom of Tonga and then decided I wanted mountains in my life and hopped the pond to live in southern Chile. After four years here I can say that I think I've found a place to stay long term. I see where my road is heading and like what I see. The forests, the rivers, the mountains in this area are what attracted me, the people are what have kept me here. Overall a great quality of life. Come and check it out if you so please!

PHILOSOPHY

It feels great to be grateful!

I've heard that the two things which hold people back in life are fear and laziness. I intend to combat both of those tendencies within myself as much as possible, but I'm kinda scared I may never get around to it.

"What we now want is closer contact and better understanding between individuals and communities all over the earth, and the elimination of egoism and pride.... peace can only come as a natural consequence of universal enlightenment"

-Nikola Tesla 1919

"Quien no conoce el bosque chileno, no conoce este planeta. De aquellas tierras, de aquel barro, de aquel silencio, he salido yo a andar, a cantar por el mundo."

- Pablo Neruda

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has bettered my life. Thanks to this site I have an expanding group of like minded friends from across the globe that fill me with optimism about where the world is heading. It's high time that we start exchanging with each other on terms besides monetary or contractual. The idea behind Couchsurfing.org is EXACTLY what the world needs more of!

Interests

psychology, eco-psychology, fractals, books that validate the lofty inclinations floating around in my head, books that challenge the deep rooted beliefs in my head, hand made beer, great affordable wine, basketball, eyeballs, tattoos of eyeballs, neurons, tattoos of neurons, intuition, mountain biking, dancing whilst making my party face and pointing with my pinkies, volunteering, scuba diving, seeing a passion in others for something I know little about, lucid dreaming, placing my feet in places that make me wonder if I may be the first, sleeping in, being methodically spontaneous, Chile, Vipassana.

Teach, Learn, Share

While I do have a lot to say, I have discovered that I don't learn when I'm speaking. Working as a tour guide for the past 8 years, I get lots of opportunity to talk about myself and my ''story'', so I really try to listen to (or dare I say hear) the people in my life to balance that out. I believe that each person has something to teach me in their own snowflaky way.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Chile, Netherlands, Tonga, United States
