ABOUT ME

I call myself a "recovering jock." Grew up in a family of boys, three sport athlete, conservative parents, middle class in rural Maine. I've swung toward the left, but settling somewhere left of center. Often I think of my niece and nephews when I'm travelling, hoping they'll be far more adventurous than the generations preceding them, maybe taking some of "Uncle K's" approach as inspiration. Me- Laid back, hopeless romantic, curious, and worldly. Curious of the stories that make us who we all are, unique and interesting. I've found meeting "strangers" on the streets in my travels and staying with locals far more satisfying then checking into a hotel. I'm recharged by authentic and unthought generosity, giving and receiving. Being human together and sharing our existence is something we need more of and CS provides such an amazing community to do just that!
