About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a queer, gender nonbinary, chronically ill pagan. I am a gardener and permaculturist in training, an artist in many mediums, a cat parent, and a witch.
Everyone has a story to tell, and I want to hear them all. If you are passionate about something, I probably want to hear all about it, even on topics I know nothing about. I am always looking to learn new things and broaden my horizons.
PHILOSOPHY
Home is not the place you were raised or the family you were born into. Home is something you find or create for yourself, a sense of welcome and acceptance in the air you breathe, the people you surround yourself with, the challenges you rise to meet. We find home by exploration, tasting different options, connecting with different people, and living life wholeheartedly and with integrity.
You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. ~Aristotle
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was introduced to CouchSurfing through a housemate who hosted while at University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. I’ve met some remarkable people while WWOOFing in both the USA and in New Zealand, and have spent some time couchsurfing before I was slammed with sudden chronic illness in 2013. It’s an excellent way to seek human connection while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music that I can sing along to. Stories I can believe in.
My favorite music tends to swing from songwriter/poets and indie to Broadway tunes.
I used to read a lot and I believe that YA fiction is some of the most important storytelling there is.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Crossing the southernmost tip of the Arctic Ocean (James Bay) in a little red canoe at age 18 with thirteen other young people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little bit about a lot of different things.
I’m full of random facts about art, herbs, gardening, potions, permaculture, and much more. I'm always interested in learning more about regenerative design. We only have this one earth to live on.
Pretty much, if there's something you're passionate about, I probably want to hear all about it. I'm always interested in learning new ideas and skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you don’t mind my amateur skills, I’d love to read tarot for you.
