Overview
About Me
In Portland after a life over four continents a military career, an academic career, and now working in robotics. Multi-disciplinary applied philosopher interested in experiences, arts rituals, and sensory experiences. I do this through a project called Autognostics (http://www.autognostics.org and https://www.facebook.com/autognostics/). In the city, I enjoy spending time with the host of interesting, wonderful people that are here in this city. Favorites include the Portland Art Musuem, Mother Foucault's, SE 12th food cart crêpes, and random neighborhood exploration on two wheels (motorcycle and bicycle).
*Important* - Before you request staying with me, read my house rules: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ungoverned/couch. This is important, so I'll repeat it here. My house is an inclusive, partner positive, art positive, kink positive, and sex positive place. No homophobes, transphobes, racists, kink negative, sex work negative, or partner abusive people welcome here. This is a place of creativity and community. Come here to dance, paint, kink, draw, play music, make food, and/or recite your favorite poet at the top of your lungs. No gossip, political discourse, or idealogical drama. You can do that stuff on Facebook or everywhere else. Period. Full stop.
(PS. My name really is just X. I'd say that I have no last name, but I'd rather think of it as simply having one name. And, when you only have one name, mathematically it's your first, middle, and last name at the same time).
