About Me
I am Jari and live in Düsseldorf, in Germany. I finished my bachelor studies in physics earlier this year and started my master studies, also in phyiscs, in september. From September to December I was an exchange student in Finland. Some people say I cheated on exchange, because I speak finnish, but I think it was a gret oppurtunity to make real life usage of that language.
In my free time I like to play music, especially my bass, play along to cool tunes, a drumcomputer or go to jams or play with my band... Also a little bit of acoustic guitar is involved, but bass is more fun :)
I love to go running in parks or in the forest. Or just go outside for a walk.
I watched a speak a couple of weeks ago, and it was oddly inspiring. The talker claimed that you can learn any skill to a level where you don't feel like an idiot anymore in only 20 hours. I want to try this with french in january. And one physics topic that has got me thinking recently.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of different kinds of music. It somehow depends on the "purpose" of it. For bass playing its definitely funk and rock and everything connected to that. There are some nice grooves :) For listening I enjoy metal/progmetal, jazz, blues, soe electronic stuff... I will probably listen to anything open mindedly.
Movies are not really my cup of tea, but this year I enjoyed pulp fiction and Interstellar.
The last book I read was by Haruki Murakami, I can't recall its name, but I really enjoyed it. I just started one new book, also by the same author. In finnish. That's hard and a challenge, but I try!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Played on a stage in front of 500 people, man! That was a thrill and a shitload of fun.
Teach, Learn, Share
Probably some maths and physics and bass skills. Or of course german and finnish! Share cooking skills. I always try to acquire new recipes and cook with others.
I'd like to learn basic words in a lot of languages, like Hello, Thanks, Bye... So this is interesting. And I want to learn french!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Awesome time. A nice evening. Currently sweets and food from finland.
