About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Universally Spirited Vagabond

ABOUT ME

Currently, I'm a Management Consultant! (Denver, CO) However, I've had the privilege of working, studying, and/or volunteering 5+ years in Sweden, South Korea, Ukraine, and Hong Kong. I've also had the opportunity to explore 35+ countries throughout Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and South-East Asia! I've been on an insane adventure up to this point, and I look forward to what the future has in store for me :)

PHILOSOPHY

How about you ask me when we see each other in person :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm willing but unable to currently host, but, when I was available to host, please consider the fact that I'm NOT a hotel, hostel, or peer-to-peer marketplace for accommodation :) Please send me a request and let's see if we can at least meet-up and hang out?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and surfed multiple times in numerous countries and the majority of my experiences have been exceptionally amazing -I've been able to form unexpected relationships with awesome people from around the world :)

Interests

I have various interests that depend on the people I'm with as well as the time of the year :) However, I'm an avid fan of being outdoors/outside because of the immense physical, emotional, and societal benefits of mother nature. I'm able to reduce my levels of stress and anxiety, to improve my concentration and focus, and to think more creatively and sharply. The restorative powers of nature are real and alive!! I also have a passion for independent coffee shops -I love to sit, relax, and ponder some of life's most pressing and complex questions amid the aroma and atmosphere of artsy cafes :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Truthfully, I'm interested in any-and-everything as long as I learn something new or expound upon those things I'm already familiar with.

I guess you could say I'm more enthralled with the drive, passion and motivation other people exhibit when talking, watching or doing their favorite thing?

Therefore, I'll basically watch any type of movie, listen to any type of music, or read any type of book so long as you consider it a favorite :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been thoroughly honored and privileged to explore the vast world within which we live by traversing countless borders, real and perceived, within and outside of the United States of America :)

I've spent 5+ of the last 12 years boarding well over 5,000+ buses, 2,500+ taxis, 1,500+ planes, 300+ trains, and 100+ boats to not only live, study, work, and volunteer in 4 countries, but to criss-cross the perimeters of 35+ countries!!

I’ve had countless opportunities to mingle with some of the world’s most prominent, prestigious, and powerful people, to stay at some of the world’s most sophisticated hotels and resorts, in addition to dine at some of the world’s most critically-acclaimed restaurants, bars, and cafes throughout my transnational explorations.

I’ve also had innumerable chances to experience life in some of the world’s most poverty-stricken communities that are inappropriately distraught with immeasurable problems, to bear witness to some of the world’s most heinous acts of mankind towards mankind and our natural environment, as well as to engage with some of the world’s most atrociously vicious, yet misinterpreted and miscalculated, members of society throughout my transcontinental journeys.

What have I taken away from these excursions within and outside of the U.S.A. that are inclusive of those experiences I've had via Couch Surfing?

I’ve come to take ownership of the realization that, as a uniquely fashioned and fated man of God, that God and the Gospel have only become more vivid and vibrant in my life and transformative to my mind, body and soul as I’ve actively, tenaciously, and tactically learned to loose myself –to truly loose myself in, with, and through others so as to justly find myself …

I’ve learned to lose myself in, with, and through not simply ‘others’ or ‘strangers,’ but to vulnerably, authentically, and empathetically loose myself in, with, and through my “brothers” and “sisters” throughout the world to not merely or meekly find myself, but to empower the principles and tenets of being in-Christ to become more personally and imperturbably intimate, intensely pulsating, and profoundly animated within my life and the lives of those around me …

I’ve learned to lose myself in, with, and through my ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters,’ irrespective of their social identities or positionalities within society, to not submissively or acquiescently find myself, but to enable the showcasing of their time, treasures, and talents to paradoxically enliven, radically alter, and innovatory sustain the avenues through which I find my understanding, acceptance, and purpose …

I’ve learned to not only inquisitively and candidly loose myself in, with, and through my brothers and sisters, but to presently and accessibly make myself available to loose myself in, with, and through my brothers and sisters, amidst the uncertainty and unpredictability of such, in order to find the exquisiteness, the splendor, and the peace in the positively negative, opportunistically unrealistic, and that which has yet to be appropriately perceived through my consistently and constantly shifting lens of privilege …

What relevance does this have to do with the countries I've been to?

I must admit that this has nothing to do with the countries in and of themselves, but, instead, it has to do with the brothers and sisters, the community of Couch Surfers who have and will forever maintain a distinctively special place in my heart because they’re one of the few communities within my life who have allowed and continue to permit me to honestly and excitingly loose myself as a means of respectably finding myself, especially through their challenge-seeking, change-solidifying and community-serving perspectives!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning, learning and learning! I might not be the best student, but I will give it my all! I live for practicality, but I am entrapped within a body of philosophies and theories :(

I invite the opportunity to converse about any and everything. I love hearing about the driving force behind other peoples lives: What INSPIRES you? What MOTIVATES you? What is your DRIVING FORCE? What do you LIVE FOR?

You've definitely got a uniquely crafted story and I want to hear it!
