About Me
CURRENT MISSION
At the moment I am writing an EP for worldwide release, training to be a personal trainer and performing music in Edinburgh 4 nights a week!
ABOUT ME
I'm Steve. I'm 27 and I'm from Scotland. I love playing the guitar, singing, songwriting, bodybuilding, talking about how to make the world a better place. I love food (especially cheese) and I can cook a few mean dishes!
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is that life is about experience and leaving it in better shape than when you came into it.
Listen to people.
Learn from them.
Try and make them smile.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a traveller, I have had many great couchsurfing experience. I've been stranded in Madrid, Edinburgh (before I lived here) and been lucky enough to meet some kind, wonderful people from around the world.
As a host, i'm just getting into it. I really want to host people who love travelling and would like to see/learn about Edinburgh, Scotland and it's new energised political landscape- as well as the traditional history it offers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a great couchsurfing experience. I was stranded in Madrid for 10 days. I stayed with David and Papa and had the time of my life. I had dinner with 10 people from 7 different countries conversing in 4 different languages. It was fantastic- i met friends for life.
I've also couch surfed in Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival with Emma. Was a great experience :)
Interests
I've been playing the guitar for 10 years and have been singing for as long as i can remember. In June 2014, I was signed to an independent music label in Manchester.
I love going to the gym. I'm currently training for a powerlifting competition and have been going to the gym since I was 17.
I enjoy cooking, especially meals with cheese in. I'm also vegetarian and gluten free!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big movies buff- my favourite films include: l'auberge espangole, about a boy, shawshank redemption and the green mile.
I love books: 1984, Animal Farm, Essays of Micael Montaigne, Albert Camus, Samuel Johnson, R.L. Stevenson, Tom Hodgkinson, Sartre, Kierkegard...
The plays in enjoy include: Anything by Harold Pinter, Samuel Beckett or Eugene Ionesco, Luigi Pirandello, Howard Barker.
I love taking pop and rock songs making them into my own soulful meaningful cover and really translating they're meaning into mine. I love to dance to silly cheesey disco music and anything from the 80's, i love to chill out to ambience, acoustic or classical music. I love playing air guitar to the heavy, classic and new rock bands and even write my own songs on occasion.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm lucky enough to do something I love- music. And it's given me so many experiences. I've played to many different audiences in many cities and could never just give one amazing memory.
I've acted in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 4 times and been 5 years in a row. To meet so many people, from so many countries, backgrounds and cultures with one passion was an eye-opening heart-warming experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love being the dumbest guy in the room. It enables me to ask plenty of questions and learn loads.
