Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can share a few funny road stories, experiences about bike trips and strange countries. I've spend time in many different places, I can talk about it endlessly if you ask :-).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

From being sneaked at night into a military base in eastern Turkey, to shamelessly lying to the Uzbek state police in Tashkent because couchsurfing is not really legal over there, I've got a bit of CS experience... It's always been good fun !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking care of my nieces...

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know that superstitions and unfounded beliefs are mainly resulting from the massive evolutionary advantage of detecting a pattern even if there is none (over-sensitive pattern recognition) over not detecting a pattern when there is one (under-sensitive pattern recognition) ?

Did you know that - bar a few sentence-structuring switches - grammar is wired in the brain at birth ? Did you know that one of the evidences for this comes from the transformation of pidgin into fully structured languages ?

Did you know that the world has been conquered by european nations partly (but not only) because the fertile crescent has an east-west orientation, while america has a north-south orientation ? And China lagged behind because it lacks a major geographic barrier such as the alps ?

I love suprising, geeky, mind-changing thesis. If you have any, please share it with me.

If not interested, I know how to fix a bike too...
