ABOUT ME

I would say I am a calm, thoughtful, tolerant, flexible, open-minded and idealistic person, sometimes a bit introvert, but commonly friendly, understanding and respectful. I enjoy meeting new interesting people, having deep conversations, exploring unique places and the diversity of cultures. I love authenticity. I wish to live the life without big regrets, to find positive feelings and meaning in various shapes and expressions, to catch the flow of time and experience, to harmonize fatalism and pragmatics, moment and eternity. It's impossible to define a person in few general words, everybody is different and individual. Although I believe that there is always something essential what connects us. Couchsurfing really helps on that :)

Music, Movies, and Books

There many movies and books which have stayed in my memory for long, which gave me what I was looking for or what was inside me or on the contrary which suddenly surprised me. Mainly they are dramas, such as
"Dekalog", "Left Luggage", "Beautiful mind", "Dead poet society", "Stalkeris", "La vita è bella", "La grande bellezza", "Interstellar", "Tangerines", "Babel", "21 grams", "Rams", " Things to Come" etc.
I haven't my favourite book, but as favourite writers I would mention H. Hesse, J. Kerouac, J.D. Salinger, E. M. Remarque, M. Kundera etc.
I listen to almost all kind of muzic, especially lively, maybe except heavy metal or rock. It depends on where I am, what I am doing, what is my mood. So it is difficult to define. Maybe I prefer chillout, ambient, singing poetry, instrumental, also soft psichodelic or relaxing-meditation muzic, experimental folk. Let's say today in my Winamp playlist I found Y. Tiersen, Fever Ray, M. Richter, Gotan project, Sigur Rós, E. Veddier, C. Mansell muzic and some Lithuanian songs.
