ABOUT ME

It's funny, what you learn about words when you're a writer. We're better equipped to describe ourselves with words, and also more aware of how insufficient words are. Who I am spans eons, vibrates between ions. This transient body is unable to define my essence; hell, I'm unable to conceive it myself. But I'm learning, and unlearning myself is the first step.

What I will say is this. I try to be compassionate and humble in everything I do. I'm far from perfect, but the intention is there. I'm a musician and a writer, and I make my art to expand consciousness and understanding. Art is a window into common experience, and that sense of solidarity could transform the world. I'm devoted to being a catalyst for common experience, in whatever way I can; it's my life's purpose.

PHILOSOPHY

Time as we understand it is an illusion; the only time that exists is right now. Each moment presents a choice; to accept the universe you come from or to resist.

I'm learning how to accept my universe, moment by moment. I'm pretty sure that's why I'm here in this body.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by connecting with people, and by doing whatever I can (at home and abroad) to disrupt the monotony that society imposes on our lives. Anything I can do to help people be engaged in their lives and recall that sense of wonder of being human is the best gift I could possibly offer.

Intereses

Knowledge and understanding in general. I love music and art and literature, but I also love quantum mechanics and biology. Psychology, anthropology, history, chemistry, fractal geometry; anything that fascinates me.

I could rant on this note for days. But the theme of what I enjoy, ambiguous though it is, is the same. Art with purpose and technique makes me very happy. Know what you're saying and say it well, and I'll at the very least be glad I experienced it.
