About Me

CURRENT MISSION

dive into the vast world!

ABOUT ME

I am a 32 yo guy who loves exploring the world...I am extrovert, open-minded and curious, and never refuse a chance to have fun, especially when it comes to boldly go where I have never been before. But I am also a thoughtful person, and I have my lyrical moments. I love reading and whatever is connected with ancient civilizations, archaeology, art, architecture and so on. I am not afraid of long walks, both alone and with friends, and I also like mountain biking (I love my bike fanatically...). A day in a museum of fine arts and a night at a beach party are a perfect match to me...
I am not religious but I respect all faiths.

PHILOSOPHY

If anyone is interested, we can discuss this when we are both drunk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, for the next ten days I might host, if anyone is interested!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Actually, I already hosted Evelina and Paulina from Poland! The fact is that a friend of mine, who introduced me to CS, asked me to host them for a night. They just needed a place for the night before going to the airport very early in the morning, so there were no big problems. Before hosting again, though, I'd rather wait for a better accommodation!

Interests

Reading, biking, art of all sorts, foreign languages and civilizations, sports in general, occasional volunteering, music of any kind (I am an ex-metalhead who ended up as a fan of Shakira...).
Cooking traditional Italian dishes and exotic stuff (still looking for new ways to cook haggis...)

Music, Movies, and Books

Star Wars! Star Trek! Dead poet society! Italo Calvino! TERRY PRATCHETT! Markaris! Camilleri and Sciascia! Sharfig (I had very good memories of Danmark...) and a lot more... mostly poetry and fiction.
Hard rock, italian songwriters as the immortal De Andre' (Dylan is the American De Andre'...), pop from the eighties...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Kolkata for some volunteering I'll never forget. I made the Pilgrimage of Santiago and it was just great, although I am not religious. I worked on a cruise ship as entertainer, but I fled after a month.
I made a couple of Interrails, an Erasmus, travelled in most of the European countries.
I went to Danmark several times for sentimental reasons, and once attended a great danish course ina international people's high school!

Teach, Learn, Share

Classics (I can't escape it, I am a qualified teacher...), literature, travel (although I am still very good at messing up things, occasionally). I also take a pride in being a good cook...

I'd really like to be able to draw...I'd love it!
