Overview
About Me
I love to travel and experience different parts of the world--the culture, food, history, and customs. I always thought I would travel more in my life, and now I am finally taking a trip I have always dreamed of! I think of myself as being open and communicative and conscientious of my surroundings. I tend to be cheerful and optimistic and I love to help people if I can. I like to be clean and respectful. I love a good conversation. I can be both outgoing and introverted. I'm trying to make more time for reading. My current mode is more toward action, but I'm trying to slow myself down and take it easy :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just recently learned about couchsurfing as I was planning for this 5 week trip. I thought it would be a great way to connect with others and to learn more about the cultures I'm visiting firsthand through local people. I also like the idea of getting recommendations of things to do that might be different from what I read about in a book.
Interests
I used to dance quite a bit myself. Now I mostly like to go to see other people perform. I also like going to music festivals. I love taking in beautiful scenery whether it be urban or natural via car, bus, boat, hot air balloon, bike or foot. Especially foot :-) I love delicious, fresh food. I was raised vegetarian, but now I enjoy how fish and poultry nourishes my body as well.
I am interested in sustainability and how we can all do just a little more to lighten our impact on the earth. I think sometimes it's the little things that often make a difference-- in all aspects of life.
