About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Graduate as a student of International Relations, and find my mission in life!
ABOUT ME
I'm a 22-year-old Mexican student who just got back from Canada; I worked this summer as a Research Assistant at the Department of History in Carleton University (Ottawa, Ontario). I'd love to host people in my floor, and of course I'd love to be helped when finding a place to stay!
PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy the little moments; those are the ones we miss the more when dark times come to our life. So enjoy, that life's short! I love being with friends, but also by myself. I really enjoy sightseeing and wandering around the streets. I always wonder about the history of the cities I visit, and how society there has evolved to become the one we see in the present. I like to discover the essence of every place I visit. It feeds my soul.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted several people in the past, but not via couchsurfing. Last year I had the opportunity to live in Paris, and I hosted many people that needed a place to stay (remember Paris is one of the most expensive cities in the world, so hotels are also too expensive). I have also couchsurfed, too. I stayed with a friend in Belgium; she saved me that night, because I had nowhere to sleep. I also couchsurfed in Budapest (I had hosted of this girl in Paris, so that's how I knew her).
In Canada, I couchsurfed three times: once when I went to Montreal. My host was so nice I offered him to stay at my place when he visited Ottawa. I ended up hosting him in Ottawa for the celebrations of Canada Day.
The second time was in Québec City. I stayed with an unique and very interesting person, and that really made me aware of this québecois spirit that we (people interested in other cultures and lifestyles) should get to know sometime in our life.
The third time was when I stayed with a friend in Toronto. We had a great time! I am looking forward to receiving her back in Mexico.
My last couchsurfing experience was with one of the greatest hosts you will find in couchsurfing.com. I stayed at his place in New York City; it was the first time I wasn't couchsurfing by myself.

Music, Movies, and Books
TLOTR, Star Wars, Harry Potter, all Quentin Tarantino's movies, weird sci-fi movies, thrillers... I love listening to clasic rock and hard rock, but I'm flexible; I could dance to whatever. I love reading, specially Latino American magic realism.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the sunrise at the Saint Joseph's oratory in Montreal, Quebec.
Going up the Eiffel Tower on my birthday, by myself, and with no elevator.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook. I can host you. I can lend you whatever you need, whether it's wi-fi, a soap, help when carrying your luggage, etc. I'm available. I can also take care of you if you get drunk when hanging out with me. But please don't let me get that drunk first (just kidding).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good anecdotes, experiences, jokes, and of course, things about my culture and my language! I am very flexible, so I can adapt to wherever you let me sleep (bed, couch, floor, yard, etc.). I only care about being safe when I sleep!
