About Me

:-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed 4 times in Brazil(Sao Paulo, Santos, Bertioga and Manaus), one time in France, 3 Times in Mexico, I ended up living with a couchsurfer in Mexico City and in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) so it was also a big help finding a flat, and I surfed 3 times in Sweden - all of these experiences have been very positive.
I only hosted 2 times in Mannheim; but those were also very good experiences. Mannheim might not be the most interesting Location for tourism in Germany ;-)
Now I'm living in Berlin and as I live on my own as a women, I usually don't host People :/

Interests

I love my cat, music ( trying to play the guitar ;-)) dancing (all kinds, trying out differt kinds each semestre basically), travelling and talking to people randomly (does this word exist..), theatre- as well acting as attending, sports (though I'm not good at anything), cooking and eating (I am good at that though, especially the latter), going out and being with my friends for sure, music, walking around taking pictures, some social engagement whenever i can..

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The lives of others, Rain man, Lord of the rings, Loriot, Monty Pythons, Star Wars, Moulin Rouge, Back to the future, The eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Lost in translation, Fernes Land, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Documentaries and Daily Soaps ;)

Books: I don't read too much books, only Beauty magazines ;-)) Honestly I read a lot of newspapers but I really need at least a year to finish a book :D My 2010 book was Into the Wild, 2011 11 Minutes by Paolo Coelho, 2012/13 it was Isla bajo el Mar by Isabel Allende at the moment I'm stuck with on the road by jack kerouac but it bores me but I always need to finish a book ;-).

Music:
Basically I like rock music, indie, grunge, garage and blues rock, psychedelic stuff sometimes and just discovered stoner rock. I also like funk, some electronic stuff from time to time, salsa and cumbia, bossa nova and other music from especially Brasil, sometimes soul music and jazz if ist not too jazzy ;-), some 80es new wave music and 90s Pop and Trance, classical music Vivaldi style, some Pop rock a la david Bowie is also alright and I rediscovered hip hop this year for me (not r n rather 80s 90s rap/hip hop).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I honestly did not have this one live-changing experience while travelling, it s rather the mixture.of different moments and feelings. One thing I really enjoyed was watching the capibaras in the Esteros del Ibera marshlands in Argentina eating green stuff floating on the watersurface njamnjamnjam.
And jumping off a cliff in the dominican republic into the see, but that s so backpacker-mainstream right ;-)
