About Me

https://www.instagram.com/uros.gorki/

People, people, people... All sorts of different people. That's what I'm super interested in. Their passions, stories, interests, connections... I want to meet as many possible new, original, creative, good-hearted, adventurous people! There's a bit more of life philosophy as to why do I believe so, but let's talk about that in person. :D

Notice: Others really do inspire me and I've had a chance to meet some extraordinary people. Lately, I've been thinking more and more about how I'd love to share some of those stories and I do that through my writing, photography, and short movies. It's some kind of Gonzo journalism and for that purpose, I'd love to take a few notes or maybe recordings from our talks (if that's okay with you). All this material is already shaping up into a book and I'll be really thankful if all of you guys helped me on doing a documentary.

----------------------------

I'm a programmer, but that doesn’t tell much about me. What I really enjoy are arts, long talks about human nature, society, literature... (feel free to check the list of my favorite books and movies). I love doing stuff with my hosts/guests and I’m pretty much up for anything: going out for drinks, dancing, parties, a day in nature, sports, yoga, swimming, singing, doing something creative, drawing and painting, cooking, volunteer work, home decorating, etc.. I'm in general quite talkative and when the conversation is about travelling or music, I can talk for hours, but lately, my favourite subjects are definitely society, human nature, philosophy, sociology, politics, etc. FYI, reading is a really important part of my life so make sure you mention books or reading in your request, that will let me know that actually checked my profile.

As a surfer, I'm really self-sustaining (I have my own sleeping bag and everything), I'm punctual and polite (well, I'm always punctual and polite, not only as a surfer xD) and I'm super interested in people, current social phenomena and problems of the area that I'm at. I always sing in the shower and never say 'no' to another round of drinks.

When it comes to hosting, I treat my guests as old friends so we are always doing stuff together. :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the philosophy of it. I tend to think that being good and friendly to all people is in the principles of being human. Also, you can not really understand any place in the world if you don't spend time meeting people that live there.
