ABOUT ME

I'm Russian by nationality, was born in Kishinev, Moldova (former Soviet Union).

My family moved to US in 2000, and lived in WA State near Seattle ever since.

I studied Computer Science at the University of Washington in Seattle, and after worked as a Software Developer for 4.5 years.

Then I decided to take a break and travel a bit. I did a trip through Central America, and saw some parts of Colombia, and then, ended up once again in beautiful Italy. Took Italian classes in Florence, and back to the States.

For fun, I like spending time with people, hiking, talking, having dinners, watching movies.
I skydive, scubadive, ski and snowboard. One of my favorite hobbies are kite boarding, and speedflying.

Traveling and getting to know other cultures and people is one of the most amazing things that people can do, and that's what I always strive for, even though there is not always time, money, opportunities for this.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learned about this project in September 2008, when I had my first CS experience in Mexico with Mark! It was great, and have been trying to participate ever since - did more in France, Italy, Spain. I hope that I will continue meeting a lot of people from all over the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed in Mexico, France, and Italy!

I love to see how locals really live in other countries, not the touristy side of it. Being able to connect with people of each culture, and feel as a part of it is the most amazing thing.
