About Me

ABOUT ME
I love arts, literature, music and science, meeting new people, exchanging ideas and views on the world, travelling, sustainable living, languages, cities, nature, diy, learning new things, cooking together, gardening, to be continued... First of all, I am curious.

"Sometimes I feel like I´ve got all the answers, but the answers aren´t the same, when the questions keep on changing"

Music, Movies, and Books

Some music favorites: kimya dawson, tom waits, joanna newsom, architecture in helsinki, andrew bird, ani difranco, antsy pants, moldy peaches, belle and sebastian, modest mouse.
Some favorite movies: Fatih Akim´s Movies, the Life Aquatic, Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, Whale rider, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I like novels of for example steinbeck, marquez, lagerlöf, matt ruff, murakami, mikael niemi, charlotte bronté, and nonfiction books, as well as good children book classics and fairy tales, like "the moomins" by tove jansson, or arty comics and illustration books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reading Selma Lagerlöffs "Gösta Berling" from 130 years ago, while staying in the exact same landscape in middle swedens wilderness housekeeping in a house on a hill in the woods, a few days only in the company of a cat, a flock of goats and cows, and chickens. Reading these stories in the warm kitchen, and outside only the farm and then woods, and the stories of people who lived there in that different time, with fascinating characters, carriages that drove over the huge frozen lake, and packs of wolves following them. A bit scary, but great.
(Especially as there do exist wolves still in that part of sweden, even if I didnt see any).

Teach, Learn, Share

could teach: playing guitar, making animations by hand, analog photography and developing in the darkroom (if there is a dark room around ;) )

would like to learn: improving in playing guitar, maybe a bit of music theory, playing akkordeon
