About Me

CURRENTLY IN INNSBRUCK,/AUSTRIA AND HOSTING PARTY PEOPLE:

CURRENT MISSION

I want to see as much of the world as possible and make as many friends from all over the world and speak as many languages as I can (Learning Swedish now via Live Mocha)!

ABOUT ME:
I travel all the time, for work and for fun. I live in Los Angeles until Feb/March, then I'm in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, then a week in a random US city around the beginning/middle of June and then I spend every summer in Europe from late June till late August. Please check for when and where I will be.

ROSKILDE: We are The Strangers with Candy Camp. An mostly international camp that started way back in 2008. We are a light hearted bunch of fun, friendly (international) people, ranging from 18-40, who like to drink, party, host BBQs, and come from all over the world. Coming together every summer during Roskilde to have a good time and listen to some great music! If you are interested please visit our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thestrangerswithcandycamp/ or Email us at strangerswithcandycamp@yahoo.com and tell us a little bit about yourself and why you would like to join.

NEXT HOSTINGS:
NEW ORLEANS/MARDI GRAS: Feb 25th-MARCH 8th, 2019,
INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA/EUROPE: June 24th-August 27th, 2019

I'm both French & American citizen by birth & the smallest in family at 6'5 (or 1.95 meters). I am mixed with about a dozen different things, including French on both sides, German, Irish, English, Italian, Greek, Scandinavian & Black/African if you go back far enough. I live in the LA area for roughly 9 or 10 month out of the year and the rest of the time I am traveling. I am a professional artist by trade. I am one of those people lucky enough to be born with the natural ability to draw, paint & create just about anything using just about anything. It is something I am very thankful for.

I went to school for & have degrees in Computer Graphics, Japanese, & German. I still go to school for fun and take mainly languages, ceramics, photography and computer art based classes (See some of my artwork).

I prefer to host rather than be hosted. It is just the way I am. I'm extremely outgoing when I want to be, & so I have no problem meeting people in different places, towns, cities, countries, out of the blue. Plus I know someone in just about every part of the world & could just stay with them if I had to.

I am almost always on vacation myself when I am hosting. So this means I will be staying out late and drinking most of the time, as I do not drink when I am not on vacation. Anyone who wishes to stay with me should be of a similar mind.

PHILOSOPHY

It's a Big, Big World! Try to see it all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Like I said I will host people, rather than be hosted. usually I take 1 to 5 trips per year to different places around the US & Europe. During this trips I always try to host people. For example when I take a trip to another state and stay in a hotel, it is the same price if I get a 2 bed hotel room or I get a 1 bed hotel room. So I always opt toget a 2nd bed, & just invite a local surfing to stay for free. It doesn't cost me anything extra and it's a way tyo meet people from other parts of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like I mentioned before. I host people, rather than be hosted. For the most part, my overall experiences have been a pleasant ones. The only thing I would say I do not like, is that Couch Surfing has a little too much of a hippie vibe for my tatses. Sorry but I eat meat & I like to shower at least once a day. Also see the only negative comment I ever received, as it's from a free loading hippie.

Music, Movies, and Books

I use to be a film critic so there are just too many good movies out there. I love Sci Fi or anything that makes you think, movie-wise and book-wise. I enjoy just about every kind of music. Especially anything you can move or dance to. I go to several open air music festivals a year, though I am not really a fan of live music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled so much now, that I get recognized in other countries by people who remember me just from sight alone (Being 1.95 meters means you stand out in a crowd).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can do & make just about anything with my hands & the items around me. I can also cook, as it was a big part of growing up & French culture.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
