About Me

Interpreter with a business degree, an intercultural orator who is always curious to learn more about various cultures and locations. Hiking lover and amateur sailor with an easy-going personality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a traveller: I think that being able to connect with the locals of a place which I am planning to visit is one of the most informative and enjoyable ways to travel!

As a host: I grew up learning that the joy of life is to give and share. Although I am just a humble student who can only offer an accomodation to other travellers for a limited time in a limited place, I am planning to do it much more frequently as soon as I have a place to call "my own". Therefore, please have a look at the "home" section on my profile and decide if it suits your needs or not. Being honest and upfront about these things is a virtue that I always value to see in myself as well as others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am really into hard rock, punk, heavy metal and local traditional folk music all around the world.

My all time favourite movie is Los Lunes al Sol. Apart from that, I'm pretty into Tarantino movies as well.

My favourite book series is called "İnce Memed" ("Memed, My Hawk"). It's an old epic-like political novel based in Anatolia and written in Turkish by Yaşar Kemal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route through the mountainous terrain of lovely Asturias and Galicia in Northern Spain for 13 days will always remain as one of the most valuable and cherished experiences of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Although I'm not that much of a cook, I can teach you to make some basic dishes and desserts from Anatolia! Which is a place that has a very rich and mixed cousine mainly from Arabic, Armenian, Kurdish, Greek, Persian and Turkish cultures. (And maybe some swear words in a couple of them ;D)

I would like to learn more about your local culture and language!

We can share some cultural and linguistical tips from our own cultural backgrounds.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer them more cultural, political and religious insight about a region that is pretty mixed and diverse. Mainly about Anatolia and Northern Mesopotamia!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, Turkey
