Hello Fellow Surfers,
I’ve settled in North America since 1988, and Canada has been my home since 2000. I was born in Ahmedabad, a city near Mumbai, India, and I am a father of the University going daughter. My hobbies range from arts, culture, literature, and traveling. Besides my career work, my interest has developed in a minimalist, natural, and humanist living that is centered on a communal, collaborative lifestyle.

I’ve traveled and enjoyed the wonders of many countries; 36 to be exact.

Although not a religious person, I am on a spiritual path, and I enjoy sharing spirituophilosophical views with the likeminded.

Being on Couchsurfing since Dec 2019, I found the concept of meeting up and exploring surroundings with locals and fellow travelers and walking, talking, and dining together quite fulfilling. I have met many, and you can find more on this topic when you read my references' notes.

Ocassionaly, at the discretion of participants, I enjoy making vlogs aimed at exploring the world's beauty, lifestyle, and walks of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting locals and enjoy their culture, arts, history and explore the beauty of local architecture as well as nature. I enjoy sharing travel experiences and cherish walking, talking and dining together.

I would love all of the above when hosting travelling friends at my home.

Many foreign films including Wong Kar Wai, Satyajit Ray, Godard, Burtolucci, Bergman, Fellini, Visconti, De Sica, Adoor Gopalkrishnan and Akira Kurosawa to name a few.

World folk music is my current favorite and, I enjoy a range of music from Indian classical to New Age and Ambient.

Currently I am reading up on Indian philosophy. In the past I have enjoyed Russian and Indian authors, Albert Camus, Garcia Marquez, P G Wodehouse that I can remember at the moment.

Mildly interested in world social-political-economical affairs.
