ABOUT ME

About me:I'm fifty, live in a small black forest village and used to travel a lot before I settled down.
Would love to travel more, but being a single mum with two teenage boys there never seems to be enough time and/or money for extended journeys. But one day, some day, I'll be on the road again.......
Love animals (as a child wanted to become a vet), have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 3 guinea-pigs.
I am a member of the Red Cross Dog Search and Rescue with my 2 dogs. I'm one of the trainers and I do enjoy being a team with my wonderful intelligent dogs.
I really like teaching. And I love this wonderful crazy English language. I've found out that the more I teach, the more I know about it the more I know that there is so much I still don't know..........
Having travelled so much before having my family I met so many many wonderful people all around the world.
I'm very curious and interested in people and how they live, what they think, like, laugh about and having friends in lots of places is so wonderful. I'm sure we wouldn't need any wars and fighting if more and more people knew each other.
I like trecking in the mountains and forests, biking and swimming. Cross country skiing in the winter.
Haven't got much time for sports. Alas, my dogs help keeping me fit! (They are Border Collies)
After having my babies I read a lot about parenting and was involved in the local family centre, esp. single parents project.
Very concerned about education. Our school system is not very good and I sometimes give courses for pupils -how to handle school and how to study.
Would love to exchange information, views, ideas about this with other people.

We are all connected in some way, and animals have a soul
There is so much to see, experience, live - I want to live to be 100! At least........

I'm a new member and will take time to explore all about couchserving and how to participate. Will tell more in some time, I guess.
Did SERVAS and WWOOF many years ago and thought it a great idea -think the same about the idea behind CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First experience in Nov. 2010 - was very good! Very easy-going.
Experiences with SERVAS, where you can stay with people around the world. Wonderful experience. Made friends whom I've been in touch with for over 20 years.
Hosted some people recently and it was a very positive experience.

Movies: Absolut fav Lord of the Rings!
Harry Potter, Whale Rider, English movies like Pride and Prejudice, Shakespeare, comedies ('allo, 'allo f.e.) - too many I love, not enough space here.
Books: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Elizabeth George and so on. Read almost anything, love a good book - any recommendations??
Music: classical, some pop, ethno pop, World Music, New Age, Heavy Metal (Nightwish, Hammerfall), depends on my mood.
Play the flute.(not very good,but I enjoy it)
Johannes and Benedikt are into computer games (of course) and they like horror movies and zombie movies (I don't).
People that inspire me: Dr. Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Stuart Wilde, Dalai Lama, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Deepak Chopra and many more....

Parachuting - participated in a beginner's course, was scared to death but it was great. Would never do it again.
My round the world trip was wonderful, taking off 16 months was great.

I'd like to learn more practical skills like renovating, gardening, mending bicycles etc. and other languages besides German and English.
I'd like to share ideas about family, kids, people, education, how to create a wonderful community and world. Can share Reiki treatments.
