Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To have awesome times in awesome new environments with awesome people.

Specifically, though, I think couchsurfing is much more valuable in terms of integrating into a culture and getting real insight from real people. I used to be a big planner, booking housing way too early and making minute by minute agendas to see everything during a trip. Now I find it much better to not plan anything, just hang out with new people, share opinions, and chat over some beers and snacks. If I happen to run into the famous museums, monuments, and other tourist attractions as well, I also wouldn't oppose :)
