About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to belong to a local community and learn from my global community along the way

ABOUT ME

Hello!
My name is Veronica. I have done my best in life but have not found my true calling yet. I studied photography and marketing. I am a huge admirer of artists, activists, and writers.

I have travelled a bit in the past, settled down for awhile. But now, I am beginning a new chapter: van life! Instead of creating my build at home, I decided to start my journey on the road, to learn and incorporate these lessons into my home on wheels.

PHILOSOPHY

Dance more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is a fantastic organization, I am incredibly thankful that it exists.
I just joined at the start of my own travels and can't wait to be hosting again. For now, I find CS makes me feel close to my global community, a needed reminder to support and be there for one another, whether we be next door neighbors or strangers in the same new city.

Interests

Communities (like this one),
being creative (without creativity, you die!),
woodfired pizza (or any kind),
traveling (of course),
making up new dance moves (chop the cucumber, put it in the pan), meeting new people (chill),
hearing ghost stories,
playing settlers of catan,
biking everywhere,
+breakfast for every meal

Music, Movies, and Books

Love a good movie night!! Let’s pop some popcorn & get cozy on the couch

Music: love swapping songs

Books: some with good pictures. Some with character development. Some that make you fall in love or question your morals. Some that transport you to another place. Some that teach you history so unbelievable you realise anything is possible. Some that are mundane as can be so your average life feels like a fairytale. Some that ground you in reality and teach you how far we have to go for humanity to be peaceful and equal.
Always love a good book rec

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam with pink river dolphins (and caiman) in Bolivia.
Seen a glacier in a rainforest with a double rainbow in New Zealand.
Visited Mt. Doom.
Jumped off a cliff (to conquer my fear of heights, still afraid though lol).
Spread the good news of chicken & waffles to Europe.
Lived in a car once.
Caught on fire once 😬
Danced on a few tables.
Fallen in love.
Had my heart broken.
Found gelato in Verona that would make you never want to eat anything else again.
Made amazing friends from terrible situations.

(Not sure if this is an amazing list of things or just things I've done)

visited 17 states
Travelled 10,000 miles around the country on one roadtrip
