ABOUT ME

Hey there, my name is Victoria and I recently graduated highschool. Throughout my highschool life I was involved in everything. I loved trying new things and being apart of my school. I played on the majority of the sports teams, lead student council, wrote for the school newspaper, jammed with the after school jam bands and snapped photos for the yearbook. I was that person who spread themselves everywhere, so when I was asked to get specific about my passions I didnt know what to say. Choosing what to take in university was a head ache. Later on I finally got comfortable with the idea of not going to school right away. This was because I realized I had a deep passion for life itself.
My burning desire is to see the world. I have always been drawn to other cultures, and ways of life and would like to learn more about them first hand. Now that I have been in the full time work field for the last few months I have saved my change and plan to begin my travels. My friend Jenna, who has the same passion for life and traveling as I do, depart from Calgary on January 7th 2013 to Sydney Australia. We hope to fly down to Melbourne as soon as we arrive so we can backapack all the way up the East coast.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan to use couch surfing as a way to get the full experince of my travels. Meeting locals who are willing to teach us little tricks and show us places we wouldnt know about, or think of going to. A place to lay our heads at night would be awesome as well! :)

So far we have had no experience, but we hope to drastically change that!

Interests

Travelling has always been a big part of my life at a young age. From this I grew up to be very open minded and willing to try new things. I love music, sports and just being involved in social activities!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. I am very open to all of it, but favor lots of the mellow genres.
Movies is something else I am very open to. I have a favorite in every genre. Forest Gump is a classic, taken shakes your bones and pitch perfect make me pee my pants.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm very close with my family, so my awestruck moments have to be their weddings, pregnancy announcements and meeting my nieces for the first time. Graduation was surreal and of course traveling. When visiting new places I find myself lost in my own world and repeating "Im actually here" over and over again in my head.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am young, and often Niave. As a young traveler I have lots to learn. I have an old soul, so with this I have alot of insight on alot of things. I feel people regardless can learn from sharing there own stories to new people.
