Overview
About Me
I can't live without exploring new countries, cities and landscapes, meeting its people and learning their language and culture. It always helps me to remember an essential fact - that I should be thankful for the place, the time, the family I was born to. Travelling is a powerful, enriching thing to do but no matter where you come from, it should always remind you of your roots. Does it sound like a paradox to you? It makes perfect sense to me.
When writing a request for stay, please, mention the word 'roots' and try to think of what our roots have in common or how our life experience differs. It's important that I can see you're not just looking for a free sleepover.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sightseeing is fine but you don't get to know the culture by looking at buildings. You always need to talk to the people. That's why I'm here!
Before I travel I always try to read as much as I can about the history and society of the country but the real experience is always completely different than what I expect. Couchsurfing helps me to break those expectations completely and I'm thankful for that.

Music, Movies, and Books
🎼🎵🎶
I love classical music. I grew up in a musician's family listening to the sound of violin since being a baby. I cannot say which composer is my favourite one, it always depends on the situation.
However, if you'd like to listen to a piece that describes the place I'm coming from then play My Country from Czech composer Bedřich Smetana.
And I do listen to modern music too, of course, but it does not warm my heart as much.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
🏞 I slept in a Pamir farmer's yurt.
💧 I had to cross a deep, freezing stream in Tian Shan.
🇨🇵 I hitchhiked over France.
🚗 I bought an old Soviet car in Georgia and drove it home. I still have it.
🚑 Recently I got an old ambulance and I'm converting it into a camper van
